I heard an interview with Christian
rocker, Matthew West, on the radio. He described the inspiration for his
song, “More” as coming from the adopted son of a good friend.
At night, the little boy and his dad
banter back and forth, “I love you more than peanut butter; I love you more
than chocolate,” and so on. One day, Matthew saw a picture on the fridge of a
great big sunshine that the little boy had drawn. Under the picture the boy had
written, “I love you more than the sun.”
Matthew got to thinking about how God
loves each one of us more than we can imagine. The result was his song, “More.”
Here are the lyrics to the chorus:
I love you more than the sun
And the stars that I taught how to shine
You are mine and you shine for me too
I love you yesterday and today
And tomorrow I’ll
say it again and again
I love you more
The lyrics to the entire song are at LyricsDaily.com.

What a blessing to be able to adopt a child. We encourage others to do so.
